SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

The main task of the Department of Physical Chemistry of Fossil Fuels of the Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry named after L. M. Lytvynenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is to conduct the fundamental and applied scientific research on current and priority areas of the development of science and technology in the field of physico-chemistry of oxidation and polymerization radical processes, biotechnology and ecology with the aim of the obtaining of new and deepening existing fundamental knowledge in the field of natural sciences, technical, social sciences, preparation of proposals for their use.

Scientific and scientific and technical activity is the main activity of the Department of Physical Chemistry of Fossil Fuels of the Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry named after L. M. Lytvynenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The main scientific directions of the Department of Physical Chemistry of Fossil Fuels of the Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry named after L. M. Lytvynenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are:

– study of radical polymerization in heterogeneous systems, reactivity and structure of polymer interphase layers, creation of new composite materials and study of their properties;

– research of directed processes of formation of nanomaterials and new functional nanosystems;

– research in the field of reactivity, kinetics and mechanism of chemical processes of oxidation of organic raw materials;

– research of biotechnological processes of synthesis of new ecologically safe substances and their functional properties;

– development of the scientific foundations of complex ecological monitoring and the methodology of restoration of man-made environment in oil production areas.
